We
think it would be a good idea to write postings teaching the music of Denmark
as well as the various music groups that we'll see and hear during our stay.
The
children in Denmark have a lot of free time: the school occupies approximately
5 to 6 hours of their day and the Danish children do not work outside. During
their spare time, the Danish children are active. Of course, they can sit on
sofa watching TV but generally their spare time is full of activities.
Playing
on the computer has become a popular hobby. The most part of Danish children
have access to Internet.
It
is also current to be a scout or to follow a music class or to learn to play an
instrument. In
Denmark, 89% of children from 7 to 15 years old, played a sport in the past
year. The popular sports among the
Danish children are: football, swimming, gymnastics, handball, badminton and
ice skating.
Half of the Danes from 16 and older, practice
some sort of sport or physical exercise. The most popular is swimming, among
common people but also as a high-level sport. The Danish have some of the best
swimmers of the world. And there is also weightlifting, cycling and the Danes
jog a lot.
Aspect number three
Work specification in Denmark

What is the legal framework that is applied to work in Denmark? What are their wages, their hours, their pay, their compensation? Can they go on strike?
Do
The Danes Have an effective social security system?
For
the risk at work and the risk prevention, did the government set up some
measures or standards like in France for example?
Aspect number four

Carnival in Denmark is called
Fastelavn, and is held on the Sunday or Monday before Ash Wednesday. The
holiday is sometimes described as a Nordic Halloween, with children dressing in
costume and gathering treats for the Fastelavn feast. One popular custom is the
fastelavnsris, where children take a whip and use it to hit their parents to
wake them up on Fastelavns Sunday.

We went in this stadium to see a football match (Horsens vs Nordsjaelland) Sunday, March 25. Although the Horsens football club is a good team. They lost the match 2-0. But the important thing was primarily for us to visit this beautiful stadium and feel the Danish atmosphere during a match (there are lot of family which come together to see football on sunday).

Horsens
Horsens
is a Danish city in east Jutland. The city's population is 54,450 in 2012 and
Horsens is the ninth largest city in Denmark.
Horsens is also a part of the East Jutland metropolitan area, which has 1.2
million inhabitants.
Horsens is located at the end of
Horsens Fjord in eastern Jutland. The city is surrounded by landscape with low
hills and valleys. Horsens is 50 km south of Aarhus (the second largest city and approximately 200 km from
Copenhagen.
The history of the city dates back to over a
thousand years - the Viking Age. The city was founded in the Middle Ages,
around a small harbor nestled in the bottom of the fjord. And the city is
surrounded by nature wonderfully beautiful. Indeed, Horsens, like many cities
in Denmark, is built around a fjord.

The Campus Village
Our
flat is situated in the Student Village. The residence
consists of 4 blocks of
apartments with two rooms each, a total of 98
rooms per block. It is fairly new,
as completed in September
2009.
The residence is located about 100 meters from the university, which is convenient to go to university when
it rains or the temperature can be over -15
° C in winter. But we are around 2 minutes walking to enter in the
warm hall of VIA.
The only negative point is that we are far from the center. One solution consist to have bike, but rent one is expansive and buy one for only three months...
So we have two options to go to the city center: walking 35 minutes or take a bus ( 20 Kr around 3euros).
But it also exist another Student Campus called Kamtjatka in the city center where about 500 student live.
